Hygiene Tips for ADHD Women

Why do we have to shower or brush our teeth everyday? Because if we don’t, then the body serves as a host for germs to grow, increasing the risk of contracting infection. This act of cleanliness is referred to as personal hygiene, a practice that keeps all parts of the external body polished and healthy. There are three main types of personal hygiene; dental, skin and menstrual/genital. Personal circumstances prevent individuals from maintaining good hygiene, however it’s not impossible to achieve. Let’s explore what an ideal routine should look like.


There are 3 challenges that individuals might face when practicing good hygiene:

  1. Sensory Overload- when one or more of the five senses becomes overstimulated
