Autistic scripting introduces the practice of selectively and repeatedly using phrases, sentences, or dialogues in daily life and social interactions. Although it may seem strange to those without autism, autistic scripting plays a critical role in the lives of autistic individuals. It performs like a bridge to maneuver the world and connect with society. Autistic scripting is more than learned repetition. Rather, it is a distinct type of communication and connection.
